Equalizing and Exchanging Self with Others
with Charles Morris
Monday evenings 7:30-9:00 pm
July 7 & 14, Room UW 2 221

Branch TeacherExchanging self with others does not mean that we become someone else and they become us. What we exchange is the object of our cherishing.  At present we are the object of our cherishing mind, but when we exchange self with others the object of our cherishing becomes other sentient beings.

Taking and Giving
Monday evenings 7:30-9:00 pm
August 18 & 25, Room TBA

The practice of taking and giving is a powerful meditation technique for improving and stabilizing our love and compassion for others.  Combining virtuous intentions with a special visualization, we can practice taking and giving both on the meditation cusion and in our daily activities.

Each talk is a part of a series and yet self-contained. You can drop into the series anytime and still feel that you have something worthwhile to take home with you. No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome. No registration required. Cost is $10 ($5 for students and seniors)

Everyone welcome
