Equalizing and Exchanging Self with Others
Monday Evenings 7:00 - 8:30pm
July 7 - 28
Exchanging self with others does not mean that we become someone else and they become us. What we exchange is the object of our cherishing. At present we are the object of our cherishing mind, but when we exchange self with others the object of our cherishing becomes other sentient beings.
Everyone Welcome
$10 per class ($5 for unemployed/seniors/students)
No pre-registration required
Monday evening classes explain Buddha’s teachings in a practical way that you can incorporate into your everyday life.
New to Meditation? Each of these classes includes guided meditation, a talk, and discussion. They are especially suitable for anyone who has not attended Buddhist teachings or meditations before.
Refreshments are served afterwards.
How to Solve Our Human Problems
with Prayers for World Peace
Sunday Mornings
10:00 - 11:15 am
July 6 - 27
When things go wrong in our life and we encounter difficult situations, we tend to regard the situation itself as the problem, but in reality whatever problems we experience come from the side of the mind. If we respond to difficult situations with a positive or peaceful mind they would not be problems for us. By following Buddha's teachings we can learn to regard them as challenges or opportunities for growth and development.
Join us for guided meditation, teaching, discussion and refreshments.
$10 per class, $5 for students, seniors and unemployed; no pre-registration necessary. No one is turned away for lack of funds. These classes are especially suitable for beginners and families and include a dedication for world peace.
